Snow in Cleveland

It's snowing in Cleveland. Snowing and snowing and snowing in a very Dylan Thomas, Child's Christmas in Wales kind of way, shawling out of the ground and minutely white-ivying the walls.

Except it's not Christmas. It's Passover, and we're helping Ellen's mother clean her kitchen and cook for the Seders Wednesday and Thursday nights.

It's very strange, let me tell you, looking out over the golf course and watching the snow swirl around the sand-traps and dance up the screens at a time I'm more used to seeing daffodils. They're under there, though. Whenever it lets up for a little, the snow melts (it's not all that cold out there) and the bright green spring grass shines out between the patches of white.

With any luck, it'll end tomorrow. But I feel sorry for the magnolia trees and the new buds.
