Horn Blowing

I do believe I'm the last person on earth to point out that the Nebula nominations are up, mostly because Ellen Datlow wrote and asked why I hadn't posted that my novella, "The Fiddler of Bayou Teche" from the wonderful anthology Coyote Road had been nominated.

Because I'm kind of distracted, I guess. Plus, there are so many other good stories out there.

Anyway, here's the full list, for your delectation: . My money's on Kij Johnson's "Evolution of Trickster Stories Among the Dogs of North Park After the Change," although Geoff Ryman's "Pol Pot's Beautiful Daughter" is equally mind-blowing. In fact, it's a beautifully strong field, and I'm honored to be even on a preliminary list with them.
