Clarion Report

I'm ba-ack! A little jet-lagged, a little tired, way behind on many things and looking at leaving again before the end of the month. But in the meantime, I'm home and on-line and happy to be here.

I've thought about it, and I can't possibly catch up with what's been going on for the past 3 weeks and a bit. There's just too much living packed into Clarion and being GOH at Mythcon to fit into one LJ post, or even two. Unless, of course, I wrote a book. And that is not the book I want to write.

So I'm going to divide the two experiences into two posts. What's more, I'm not going to talk about what went on at Clarion. Mostly, everybody knows what Clarions are like. Nobody slept much. Everybody wrote and read lots. We tore stories apart and put them back together again. There was no high drama outside the brains of the writers and the resulting stories, where there was plenty. The weather was grand and the food was tolerable. Comicon was mind-blowing, the bluffs were glorious, and I rather regret not taking part in the terminal (and I do mean terminal) water fight.

What I am going to talk about is Collapse )
